Mind Lab Pro

The most successful brand in the nootropics supplement space, and arguably the product that created the nootropic supplement space in the first place. The brand has been building since 2015, and I have been involved with it in one way or another since the inception in 2015.

I worked on this site initially as a frontend dev and later managed a couple of other developers up until 2018 when it was on Magento 1. In early 2019 the decision was made to migrate from Shopify Plus, I rebuilt it in Shopify liquid and migrated all customers and orders from Magento.

It has recently been rebuilt once again using Tailwind and Alpine JS. These days frontend is mainly handled by the super talented developer/designer pairing of Ash Hancock and Zack Bramley, but I still get in their way - most recently building out landing pages. I work mainly on the backend inventory management system, there is a detailed post on that here.

Tech Highlights :

There have been all kinds of integrations over the years, with numerous 3PLs coming and going, upgrading their systems, or migrating to other platforms.

Private apps, custom apps, native apps, checkout extensions, pixels. Shopify itself is a very different beast to the 2018 version.

The PPC and landing page campaigns I've been working on recently have necessitated serverless node functions which I run on Vercel.

It's been a real privilege to work with this brand over the years. From the initial Magento build, migrating to Shopify, working as the Ops Director for the business owning the brand, and now supporting the inventory and fulfilment systems. We've surfed numerous Google updates, seen the rise and fall of affiliates, and now navigating the rise of AI and GEO. Still on the up.
