Astro is a modern, lightning-fast JavaScript framework. It makes it easy to prototype and launch both static sites and server-rendered applications with minimal overhead. What I love about Astro is that it feels like a lightweight alternative to heavier frameworks like Next.js or React — fast, flexible, and simple to work with.

Fast and simple are hugely under rated. Reduced time means reduced cost, you can end up with a phenomenal website built at breakneck speed. For this reason I use Astro for building landing pages which are subsequently going to be rebuilt on Shopify. I can build and quickly deploy on Vercel, for the designer and copywriter to review.

The projects below are all static sites, PagesCMS and Wordpress were used to power the backends where a separate backend was used.
